This page stores almost nothing in your browser. What it does store, and when, is listed below in full.

Before you decide

Until you answer the banner at the bottom of the page, we set no cookies at all and load nothing from Meta. Our own measurement of the page is cookieless: it writes nothing to your browser and recognises a visit through an identifier calculated on our server from your IP address and browser, using a secret that changes every day.

Needed for the questionnaire to work

These are stored whether or not you accept marketing cookies, because without them the features you are using stop working. They are not used for advertising.

Keeps your answers on your own device so you can close the page and continue later, and holds the identifier that lets an unfinished questionnaire be recognised as yours when you come back. Once you complete and send your profile, your answers and your email address are removed from it. What stays is the fact that you finished, that same identifier, and — if you joined the priority waiting list — that you joined and whether you asked for opening updates. The identifier stays because the waiting-list button sends it, and because it is what lets the thank-you screen show you the join you already made instead of offering it to you again. Only if you accept

If you accept, we load the Meta Pixel and it sets the cookies below. We also send the same events to Meta from our own server, so that one action is counted once rather than twice — the two are matched by a shared identifier. Both stop the moment you refuse or withdraw.

What we send Meta: which step of the page you reached, when, the address of this page, your IP address and browser, and — when you complete the questionnaire — your email address in irreversibly hashed form, so it can be matched without being read.

Changing your mind

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to reopen the banner and change your answer at any time. Refusing is one tap, exactly like accepting. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything listed on this page.
